I've just casually mentioned it to my missus - she's less than impressed what with Chrimbo just around the corner and everything.

I'm definitely going to get tickets for this show and figure the rest out later! I'm sooo excited!!! Red - I totally agree w/ you - I've never been disappointed by their shows - only the crowd at some of the shows I've been too.

I hope I can make it, trying to decide to get a tix or not. Hard to tell what air fares will do so far in advance. And if going I should make it a real trip and see other stuff as well. Hopefully the finance Gods will come down and bestow a gift for me.

I thought the same thing as you did in my mind. I've also done some research on flights already due to the fact that, I am budgeting like crazy, not to mention budgeting my vacation/sick/personal time for off next year too. I want to make sure that I have enough for it all. I've checked some flights & have got a good basis amount on certain monetary figures. I am weird. For my both of my trips this year to Iceland & the UK, I booked them both in January yet, they weren't until August & November of this year!!! (I'm flying back next Thursday for the 2 gigs & had to work extra Compensation time to accommodate for all of it).

My friend Pete (who's coming w/ me next week & I treated him to the tickets as a gift for him flying w/ me), almost hit me over the head (literally) when I told him all about the September gig! He was like, "OMG, again? Well, I'll go b/c I need to get away from here too."

Working for the state PD is strange enough but, planning events this far in advance is even weirder. And, I'm not even a cop!

Well, let's all hope those gods will rain all upon us too! :)

spooky, it's best to wait and buy airline tickets for Sept until like july/august! they're FAR too expensive this far in advance! honest! (not sure if the march sales extend into sept, but they might)

I've been looking and finding prices around $2K, for flight and hotel. I plan to stay a week as England/London have long been on my list of places I want to visit.

I booked 2 nights at the Beit Hall that Jimbo mentioned on the official site.
I can't afford to stay more than that but it should be enough. Maybe someday I'll spend more time in the UK.

Really? I mean, I'm a Continental OnePass & Trip Rewards member. Ok, when I checked the flights in July for ordering them for next week's gigs, they were expensive. Continental always told me regarding flight scheduling, that, the earlier the better. LOL That's why I was anal retentive in booking both of the trips in January! Hey though, I got a big laugh at doing so. Plus, my job needs everything so organized & in stone b/c I work for the PD. Anal retentiveness, part 2. ...

I checked already plus w/ my minus $100 voucher from Orbitz, It's going to run Pete & me about 810 per person for flights. That's why I want the cheapest yet, most-quality-type-of-room possible. YIKES. Looks like OT for me for a few months! LOL LOL

Call me Seven Seas, btw. Please. Thanks. Or, E. lol

Thank you for your help though!!!

when red and i booked our recent flights it was around $550 per person total. we waited till the best possible price we could find... i would recommend waiting at least until the new year. prices go up and down all the time

well, i always fly economy, and usually get my seats for around the $200 (ish)mark...before taxes. (does your $800 inc tax?) several times british airways have told me that the best deals are always 6-8 weeks before you fly. with the exception of this trip (which we bought them like july 30) that's usually been pretty dead on. a lot of the sales don't continue that far into the future. usually only for a quarter. but sometimes you get lucky. until recently, i flew with whichever airline is the cheapest, because there are 3 airports i can use (all 4 hours away, ggrrr, so it doesn't matter to me) and until Virgin started allowing you to use your miles on economy seats, it didn't make any difference which airline i took, coz nothing added up anyway. but i'm sticking with Virgin now, since i have some miles, and they still let you bring two bags, and BA charges you $200 for a 2nd bag!! (NO WAY - greedy pigs!)

but it may be different for you being in some club thingy.

mary, trust me, you will wanna do three, at least!!! you do NOT wanna go to a gig the same day you fly in......i've done it and it's just way too exhausting!!! unless you're flying in the day before the show, and going home the day after. but that's exhausting too. (if you do that, make sure you geta really late flight back!)

plus, if you stay over a saturday, you save like $1,200 on your flight! (no shit!!!!)

Hey Red & Blinkilite & others...thanks for your recommendations! :)

Yes, it's a bit "different" being in the OnePass & the flights I had quoted were w/ a $100 discount voucher I have off of Orbitz including tax. So, we'll see....I have memberships for Continental & some other airlines but, we always fly Continental now b/c my account is LOADED w/ miles from things I buy from shops too! I'm weird about everything but, I'm trying to get a free trip! So, I'm hoping this will all pay off before I die... namely fly to Australia. I have to fly yet to Romania & Italy for things but, that's later on. I hope to use Continental then too.

I'm still going to try to get Pete & me a box seat (ha, dare to dream) & I spoke to 2 other friends already so, we can all get together in the Travelodge. Weird, I know but, like I said...my job IS weird as I am & I have to get things planned in advanced. Right now, I'm still working on putting my schedule in at work but, I booked a few days off for this gig just in case....fingers crossed...

If I can't go then, maybe they'll do an American tour or a Christmas tour for 2008! LOL Talk about time flying! LOL

If it's meant to happen, it will... Good luck to all of you though! :)

Man, who knows with the dollar where things will be next September....I plan on buying flights/hotel as soon as I have tickets for the show confirmed! I'd be too anxious waiting till last minute.

Has any one else mentioned/ thought, they must be planning to film or at the very least record this show?
