That is probably right if he is the only one left writing the songs while the other is not interested as said above.

You can roll your eyes all you want Voodoo Billy, but it was clearly pointed out by Dr Cheese if you go back through the posts. Bunnymen don't do rocket science as much as they'd like to think they do.

As someone who absolutely loves their first 4 albums this is just very frustrating to me, and obviously you all too. I mean we all know what they are capable of. What happened to their sound? I don't think it's a coincidence that their best stuff happened when Les Pattinson was in the band. His bass lines were unreal. He is terribly underrated as a bassist. Don't know why I get so worked up over this, I'm in my 40s and it's only music. But damn.

Oh didn't you know, apparently Mac came up with all the bass lines.

Their glory days were decades ago. I'm glad to have seen some great shows along the way but it is different now and when you read that one of the two is not interested in Bunnymen stuff anymore, it makes me wonder...why buy it and why spend my money on things that the band isn't even 100% behind? That is only me.
You can tell it's all coming to an end. This is the bare minimum they can do to keep it afloat. It is disappointing but they are getting older and can't get that youthful feeling back that was once a great vibe. Too much past, maybe too much damage, either way...a fair bit of the magic is gone.

None of you are true Bunnymen fan. Only I true Bunnymen fan. Fuck you from from your ass.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

people say the same about dylan, leonard cohen etc. even wagner got panned for his last opera by nietzsche who said that wagner had 'fallen at the feet of the cross'. my advice- if you don't like it, go to amayzone, spottyfly, pubs, the radio etc and find something that you like. when i was a child i liked the spice girls- but i grew out of them. doesn't mean that they went bad, just means that my tastes changed and if the punter's tastes can change why not expect the artist's to change also? i use this site to find out news about the new album! but everytime i come here it seems that there is a bunch of people who were made for twitter wasting their talents!

Moaning on here releases tension. It is therapeutic.

Well it's high time we stopped moaning and criticising and just accept whatever old guff Mac puts out under the Bunnymen name.

Yes, we'll embrace it like we did Crocodiles and Ocean Rain.

Jesus, we must be the calmest, most laid-back, stress-free, middle aged bastards on earth then.
