I thought something seemed off during "Thorn of Crowns". Was something going on there? (The strings were used to especially good effect during that song, btw.)

How was the orchestra? Louder than what I experienced at RAH I hope.

Hi Jack, I hope all my Bunnyfriends get home safely. I just wasn't feeling well at all. I don't know what was going on with my tumbly it was all rumbly!

I think that there was something technical going on during Thorn of Crowns because Ian walked to one side of the stage and seemed to be gesturing to someone backstage. Then a roadie had to run back and forth several times during the next few songs.

All in all, I felt that my evening was quite complete and I was very happy with the performance. I spoke to a fan who came in from London and who seemed to know the band personally and she told me that Ian quit smoking quite a while ago. His voice really sounded strong, he looked happy and vibrant and seemed to be very upbeat. The band performance overall was phenominal.

Hi guitarplayer, the orchestra was excellent. They had a conductor. They became very strong during Ocean Rain, when the strings just swept across in all the right places and triggered lots of tears. Just perfect!

Having just looked at the pics over on the official site, Radio City's interior looks totally stunning. Orchestra on the same level on the stage as the band as well.

Oh yes, the interior of RCMH is like an art deco clamshell. The lobby is like a cathedral! It's a beautiful place.

Here are some videos that people have posted.

Videos so far posted on youtube from last night's show:

My Kingdom:

Killing Moon:

Ocean Rain:

Thorn of Crowns:

Silver:

I can't say how happy I am for deciding to go almost at the last minute. And above all I finally got to hear All My Colours live!!!!!!! I've been wanted to this song live for the longest time and started to think it will never happen. So, there I was getting the chance at Radio City, Ian singing flawlessly hitting those notes.

I agree with Moons, the crowd seemed happy and excited to be there. Glad Ian was having a great night and enjoyed his chattiness. My top songs w/orchestra were Silver, Nocturnal Me, My Kingdom and of course Ocean Rain.

I had a blast throughout the night, even at the Beauty Bar when I was dead tired. I know better than to sit down that late. But it was quite crowded, not much room for movement anyway. Will played some great tunes!

It was so nice to have met you all at the Pig and Whistle! Yes, the show was amazing, but the trip was really made special by the meet up!

Like moondance said, the orchestra was superb. Just simply excellent And yes the sound levels were very, very good.

I was a little worried during Glasvegas, because the sound was not good at all. Just LOUD with no dynamic range at all. Not so with the bunnymen sets, though, everything was very clear, with a lot of detail.

The video screens were also put to good use.

Do you think there will be a DVD made of this show? They could release that one and pull the "Live in Liverpool" one off the market.

I thought the orchestra sound would be better at Radio City (and probably the Echo Arena as well) given the layout. The RAH is an amazing old venue, great for full orchestras and the like, but maybe not really suited to rock bands. Interesting about Glasvegas. I hope that was just a technical hitch on the night and not something usual as I'm going to see them live next month.

wow. the show was amazing. moondance is right. mac sounded great. his voice was spot on. will's guitar sounded perfect. the sound in that place was just fantastic. better than i could have imagined it... especially the ocean rain set. the orchestra was loud, but not overpowering, but it gave the songs so much depth. especially ocean rain. seriously. wow.

i really hope they release this as a CD or DVD. i was talking with a few people who had gone to both the royal albert hall and this show and they said they were completely different. it would be great if they would release a special set of all 3 shows.

it was so great to meet everyone too! the night at the annex, the pig n whistle, the gig itself, and then the beauty bar... such a great time. hope everyone had a safe journey home.

hopefully i'll get to see some of you again in '09 for the fountain tour.
