So are all you jokesters going to wait until the last minute to submit a real question to me?

i have always loved that album!! it has nothing to do with Les! i love it because it *sounds* great! it's really psychedelic, and that's what i like about it. Will and Les had a LOT more freedon on that album! that's why it's so good!

great album for several reasons - the sound of two blokes waving two fingers in the general direction of the hairy one who used to sing up front. Rythm section, i.e., reece (the only posty pete drummer they've had whose been any good at all) n les tight as a gnats chuff, bring em both back I say, all those indian blokes doing things with strange instruments. Better than the grey album and all of Macs solo output, FLowers or siberia - just on production values alone. And yes the bad things are the obvious, the voice, side 1's weak lyrically but side two, dare I say it, awesome. Brilliant flow, dinky little riffs and that last track (I know, so good I cant even remember the name of the last track, flaming red??, eh red? any story behind that we should know of? ho ho), brilliant build up and a solo where anyone else in the world would have gone widdly diddly diddly as fast as they can but little willy sargeant does a slow four note solo (though admittedly does play them over and over again and its probably layered about fifty times, but...).

What else do I think? Well yes if they had brought mr mcculloch back and said, here you go, just sing on that, no farting around or getting a cob on, and then sod off back to the pub it would have been, well, awesome in the extreme.

I also think that without it, or if they had changed the name we wouldn't have the buns in the form we have today. Obviously still a thorn in mac's side but a reminder that its not just his band. Dont think changing the name would have had any effect on its sales and Will is just being diplomatic when he says that in interviews.

Technically the Bunnymen reformed in a way and wrote a bunch of songs that were unlike previous Bunnymen songs and nobody really bought it. The name of that band was Electrafixion.

I think in both of those cases it just was not what the fans wanted to hear from Mac or Will. The same goes for Mac's solo career.

was forgetting the fixion. Another one let down by crap production. Thought the Zephyr ep was brilliant (the version of mirrorball has one little bit different but, well, just works) and then the album a bit of a let down.

as far as the bunnymen name thing is concerned, the fact that reverberation had the name of the front was enough for me, and, looking back, it had the same number of original members as the current line up does, so I have no problem with that (obviously we could argue about who were the original members, after all it is friday).

chez.

Okay I sent my legit question.

"Do you think Jake Brockman was the true genius behind the Bunnymen?"
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Brian, may I ask you to find out if you may do an interview with Will Sergeant next? I understand he's in a rock band from Liverpool and they have an album coming out this year and pretty important show at something called Royal Albert Hall in the fall. Thank you very much.

Ask him - he can only say "no" or maybe "fuck off", or just a plain "sorry, can't be arsed mate".

Go on, ask him. I dare you.

OK, as I have told you many times, that was a wig, and I wasn't really that drunk. Why can't you let stuff drop?

Because it was just so damn cute.

Brian how many legit questions have you got?

you are a person that comes to mind that has often said you liked the songs on the album. I figured you might have a question about one of the songs, but I can work that anecdote in with a question.
