He should have done the Zeligs thing with Gordy and the band.

I agree with you 100% on the Zeligs band, he seems much more at ease when surrounded by the noise and the cushion that a fuller band accords him. I'd love to see the Bunnymen (and the Wild Swans) play that room, what a venue. This may sound odd, but I think that sometimes he goes a bit over the top to conceal his nerves, the knock knock joke straight up being a case in point.

I think he was right to get the girl ejected though, she was becoming a bit of a pain in the arse.

er yeah GP,, I only said that n a kind of 'i know how you feel' feeble attempt to deter flack, but I see it worked too well. shucks. or whatever the current vernacular is. I'm getting nervous - I'm just using random 4 syllable words now.

All I could hear was her squeaking but do you agree he was getting narky with the cougher as well? All I know is that Mac solo is stop start and I expect it,but Ive never heard him forget the words so many times as Saturday and completely cock up tunes.

He obviously wants to do the concert room solo gig type stuff but he cant deliver anything like a proper set for that environment.Which is a shame because he has the songs,if only he could remember them.

You're right, we are just jealous, and more than just a teensie bit! And not everyone on BOF is rubbish at spelling

Totally agree, I didn't hear the coughing once from where I was sitting but the girl was constant.

Why doesn't he write the lyrics down on paper (or use an auto-cue)? Or would that look uncool?

It's more his ego won't allow him to wear prescription sunglasses so he would not be able to read the lyrics or autocue..... When I saw them last year Mac had the lyrics written for one song but he had to hold the 12" from his face to read them..........

The video posted on page 1 is good. The band really needs either a producer. Ian singing The Fountain acoustic sounds like an entirely different song than on the cd. It has a great melody.

How about she releases an album and he co-writes and co-performs the songs?

When he was "seeing" Eva Petersen back in 2005 (?), her band The Little Flames was scheduled to open for EATB for the Liverpool Christmas date, and then they weren't, and then they were. It was topsy turvy. In the end, they were the opening act.

I'm not sure how much longer he dated her after that.
