on a side note, what was so special about Mick Ronson's guitar playing? It was fine as regards what they were doing back then , but he hardly rates among the greats. I have nothing at all against him but name one memorable solo or riff that was Ronson magic, please.

I'll say the guitar solos on The Man Who Sold The World, Hunky Dory and Ziggy Stardust.

I reckon without Will he'd easily get a gig at the O2 - that's the phone shop btw, not the arena. Arf.

I think Ian would do fine solo. As long as 50% of his set was EATB stuff. He'd do festivals and pizza joints - but WAYGTWYL II would be better than The Fountain.

"I’m the Rembrandt of rock."

What, early dazzling success, then years of scorn and shabby bohemian existence on the verge of virtual penury? Nice one Ian.

Good god. Have you heard Abba's "S.O.S"? It's genius. I'm not shitting.

Don't waste your breath, Mr. Adams. These yokels wouldn't know a good song if it kicked them in the private parts.

More like the Van Gogh...though at least there was a career for the Bunnymen in the early years. It's like they are the epitome of everything that can be done right, but the self-destruct button is far to shiny not to press it...not just for Ian, but for Pete as well. Unfortunately, Ian keeps pressing it.
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)

It really is a testament to Echo & the Bunnymen's importance that there is an entire website exclusively devoted to taking the piss out of them.

That was fucking awesome (brilliant)! Now I know where the Flaming Lips got some of their ideas.

Not to this Led Zeppelin fan.

Led Zeppelin did not write Tangerine. Jimmy Page is the sole author of that song.

Sorry, I'll rephrase;
Their albums did include such great songs, Tangerine being one of them.
