Did I hear him say they were still signed to Warner's, but were asked/told/agreed to put The Fountain out on a subsidiary or something after Korova went under again?

Yes. I thought his story of still being with Warner's didn't jive completely with the story they fed us about the band asking and receiving the rights to the album after their Warner's liaison was let go. Did BOF ever tell us that they would remain with Warner's after all, but on their own label?

I don't remember seeing anything on BOF about that, but I don't look at it that much. But that was the Gospel According to Mac, so who knows if it's accurate or not. I mean, he likened stuff on the Fountain to punk and said Les and Pete didn't have anything to do with creating the music, so ... Milky Way-sized grain of salt? And that would be the galaxy, not the candy bar

This will make an awesome House episode. I bet it turns out to be Wegener's Granulomatosis.

Acid reflux is really nasty and stress and smoking will certainly do it. (So will being bevvied up). And so will eating late, like after a show. I had some really nasty problems with acid reflux that caused major vocal problems when I was singing opera. Makes the vocal folds swell up from the acid. Took awhile for it to die down because it's systemic after awhile.

I still can't believe what Mac said about Les and Pete. I mean could this have really played out:

Mac: Hey wait, I wrote these songs and yet you all are getting credited and paid for it too? What gives?

Will, Pete, Les: Sorry about all that. We'll get it corrected by the next album. Pinky swear this time.

Repeat four more times.

I take back everything I said about Dorian Cope (is it?) and her Pete tribute. Him and Les are being airbrushed out.

I've been saying that for fucking years and nobody seems to listen!
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

I liked Ian's impersonations - that was funny and good to see him being candid! He did Billy Crystal in "Analyze That" and Matt Pinfield. He has been on this Billy Crystal kick lately. Maybe he watched that movie again recently.

Norris was okay as an interviewer. It was good to see a famliar face, but Matt Pinfield would have done a better job. Norris actually didn't know the band's history very well. Didn't he mention Pete leaving the band when he brought up the Pete and Jake tragedies and then get corrected? I couldn't quite catch everything very well. All the videos were choppy for me with the buffering, plus I was listening/half-watching them during work.

This interviewer was really substandard. Ian was patient with him and didn't just blow him off, because Norris (is that his name?) was really really bad. I think its actually an opportune time for an in depth interview to transpire with Ian. Although I have heard some poorly done interviews with Terry Gross, I've also heard some really good ones when it comes to a subject matter she is particularly interested in and knowledgeable of. Someone with her professionalism and insight could really be helpful. It certainly wasn't the case with this guy, but oh well. I'm just thankful that Mac was patient with him and decided to chat about his life and family a bit.

I would still like to discuss Electrafixion and Lowdown with him, among other songs and there are some brilliant songs on each of the bunnymen (and Mac slidling) albums post 97, as well with cuts from Mysterio, etc. Maybe one day.
