General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

The rambling point is , what are fan sites really for?

I consider VilliersTerrace.com as two things. There is the forum and then there is the website content itself. The forum is a mostly unmoderated place where people can talk about anything. The Bunnymen was the common interest that got us together. I will never police anyone's comments about the band. Believe me, I've been asked to. The actual website (although it hasn't been updated since The Fountain) is an unbiased catalog of all their work.

Personally I am still and always will be a big fan of their first 5 albums. I also like Evergreen and WAYGTDWYL. After that it diminishes with each album. I always hoped "this time it will be different" but I am not so optimistic any more. I initially liked Flowers but once the newness wore off, not so much. Siberia just fell flat and The Fountain was a dressed up Mac solo album of B-sides. At least the "Bunnymen in name only" WAYGTDWYL got the A-sides. Mac in his glory days is one of my favorite vocalists and Will will always be one of my favorite guitarists.

I have thought of selling it all but no one wants it anyway. I have seen items that cost me an arm and a leg go for relativly small sums of £ on e-bay and such like.

fuck me thats a depressing thought! i dont post much on here between gigs and releases, but i still visit regular. i dont really join in with the banter either, just because i cant be arsed.
but still looking forward to brixton in a couple of weeks and sharing my thoughts and i will be going to see mac at the zombie hut in may.
the forum is for what ever its members want to use it for, i dont think anybody has been put of using it by the negativity,i think its more about not having much to say.
on a positive note in my opinion every mac and bunnymen album released has always had some good stuff on it, including the fountain and pro patria
