Persistant Memes
One attribute of online communities is the evolution of persistant memes that in part define the culture of the community. Examples of such memes for villiersterrace.com would include:
-Leonard Cohen. Beginning at some point during the time of the official bunnymen forums, the practice evolved wherein any mention of Leonard Cohen would illicit a response of extreme disinterest. In time, the accepted method for communicating this response became simply to post "Zzzzzzzzzzzz", or some variant thereof, intended to convey that the poster had been lulled to sleep by the boredom intrinsic to the topic. [1][2][3] Over time, this practice became viewed by some as so obnoxious as to cause them to cease posting on the forum altogther. [4]
