He's not exactly glowing about Will and Les is he. Bit unpleasant.

I don't even want to think about what goes into a girl salad.

The dressing would be a worry.

Like Chris Martin, don't we all have a friend whose advice we ask and then do the exact opposite?

I noticed that back in the day he said he thought that Will was a "c*nt" for wanting four way writing credits on all the songs.

It's strange how the first time around they all seemed to be in agreement that it was a four person process creating the Bunnymen songs/sound and now in 2010-2012 it's Mac saying Les and Pete didn't have anything to do with it.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

He said it was not a love /hate relationship (Will) because it is 95% love and 5% narkyness
so not that bad really !

If you watch this interview you will see Les and Pete saying Mac writes all the music and shows them how to play their parts.

probably explains why Nick, Gordie and Ste do such
a dead ringer impression!!

Which brings me on to my question.

How Musically talented technically are Mac and Will?

If you mean do they read/write music, then I'm sure the answer is no.

If you mean how technically adept are they in a traditional sense, then I think even Will would laugh at that. He's made remarks before about his "one string solos". I read somewhere that Will doesn't even touch his guitar much outside of the studio.

But they are talented nonetheless.

I think we're getting to the point where we can discount about 95% of what Mac says in interviews these days.

There's no way that Mac wrote all those parts. Not only that, but Will is always listed first in songwriting credits on the first 4 albums, except for Crocodiles. Maybe that's all for shits and giggles, who knows, but I think it's clear that Mac is doing some revisionist history at this point.

We're also allowed to scramble up the letters.
