Well done Mrs. Mac, Bunny God and King of Kings. I'm going as well, will be a great night. Did anyone see The Coral on Channel 4 last night. Can't access it from where I am but there's a link here in case of interest. Cheers...Frank.

I had a discussion with someone in a band that opened for the Bunnymen and he said that all of the band were cool but that you couldn't even look at Mac--own dressing roon, don't talk to him. Really, what a load of bullshit!! Hope they aren't horribly dissappointed in their heros if that's really true.

Whereas I can think of other bands (Depeche Mode) that will post news about their former opening acts and still keep in touch with them... Interesting.
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)

Wow, why does it not surprise me that Mac is the biggest rock star ever in his own mind? Oh boy. Makes one wonder how someone as affable as Sgt. Fuzz can continue working with him.

Well we don't want our rock stars too approachable and normal. It is rock and roll after all and I guess if I'm gonna keep cutting Axl Rose some slack I can do the same for Mac. But yeah I've never heard a bad word about Will. Well at least till that acoustic album comes out. I'm already gearing up to talk some shit.

Not being a band or supporting one though. When I met Mac, I actually found him incredibly approachable and chatty. He'd probably kick my head in now mind you if I said "hi, I'm ghostie on Villiers Terrace" with Will second in the queue with boots ready.

I met him once on the Flowers tour. He was very nice and signed my CD and listened to me ramble on. He even agreed to have his pic taken with me, with no sunglasses even.

What does he look like now without them? Considering how "photogenic" he used to be, surely it can't be that bad. Or has smoking given him a "new face" to match his "new voice?"

NOTE: "New voice" is Mac's euphemism for his smoking and other habits destroying his vocal abilities. A bit like the Tory euphemism for destroying the welfare state., i.e. "reforms."

well "now" was nearly 9 years ago but he looked good. That was right around when he was always wearing sunglasses as I recall so it was surprising to see him without them.

He was wearing sunglasses same time I met him too, which was five years ago.

Probably said it before, but while I was tongue-tied at the time, I struggled to be able to understand Will more than Mac. Quite soft scouse voice, not nearly as loud speaking. Poor Will must of thought I was a half-wit when I kept saying sorry? as I couldn't make out what he was saying. Being a soft southern bastard who struggles to understand some northern dialects, my ten years of training by watching Brookside in case I came across any scousers in the future hadn't work well at all.

Will appeared to be a top bloke, but Mac seemed more the kind of chap I'd have a drink and a chat with at a table in a pub. First impressions and all that.

Sounds dead romantic that.

Yeah, table for two, candle light, violins playing Ocean Rain in its full entirety, a plate of spaghetti bolognese to share. It would be a perfect evening... the "coffee" question at the end of the night would have to go amiss though.

Well, I am glad to hear that Mac has made favorable impressions too! I'm not a Mac-hater by any means--but some of the reports out in the ether are iffy.

If and when Mac and Will come back to the US, I'll be there, though Mac must not like rabidly anti-smoking California much!
