San Fran in-store

General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

From what I know there should be an Amoeba store and a Rhino Records. And then there are all the little mom and pop record stores out there. San fran was the hotbed of the 60s. People there prob have big record collections.
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)

I guess the band doesn't know it is the Third Annual Record Store (Slowly Are Dying) Day April 17.
What an incredible opportunity missed! Do they play a record store? And independent store? No BEST BUY.

Even the major label are milking this.

Record Store Day is the one day that all of the independently owned record stores come together with artists to celebrate the art of music. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day, and hundreds of artists in the United States and in various countries across the globe make special appearances and performances. Festivities include performances, cook-outs, body painting, meet and greets with artists, parades, and DJs spinning records.

The third annual Record Store Day is slated for Saturday, April 17, 2010. In conjunction with Record Store Day 2010, Josh Ritter will release his new album on vinyl and perform at two different independent record stores.[2] Also, the recently reunited Soundgarden will be re-releasing their single "Hunted Down" with the song "Nothing To Say" on 7" vinyl. British rock band, Muse will release Exogenesis: Symphony on a limited edition 12" vinyl, and The One AM Radio will release its single, Credible Threats, on 7" vinyl. Modest Mouse will re-release The Moon & Antartica on vinyl for the first time in 5 years. The official book of World Record Store Day 2010 is Last Shop Standing: Whatever happened to record shops by Graham Jones.[1]

It could be worse -- they could be performing in a CVS....

How the mighty have fallen.

At least CVS sells beer.

I still can't get over the moron who thinks they should give away tickets for free just cause you're a fan of their facebook page. Who knew giving away 14,362 tickets is sound business practice?
