Wasn't there an interview back in 2008 where Mac tells the interviewer about new songs he's written one about cooking a roast chicken and another called 'little dwarf' which he then said was a ballad?

By memory the interview took place day of Oasis concert in Liverpool.

A ballad titled 'little dwarf' sounds rather interesting...

Yes, I found it.

McCulloch is planning a solo album. “I’ve written a song called Get the Chicken In,” he says. “I had a roast chicken. It was one of those where you cook the bag itself, and I was singing: ‘Get the chicken in, get the chicken out.’ Then there’s another song, Little Dwarf, which is a ballad.”

I also found his recipe for steak au poivre. The man knows his cuts of meat...

The best steak to use is either rump or good sirloin so you can give it a good bashing. Fillet is too tender for it.

Excellent work there 'In the margins'

I wonder if this means a solo album from McCulloch in the future or worked into The Bunnymen...this would guarantee endless debate here no doubt.

Maybe a cook book from Mac to accompany albums release or a follow up to his pending memoirs.

Recipes such as

'The 4am steak accompanied by a bottle of Whiskey'

'Drunk Oysters'

'Sozzled Dwarf Chicken'

It's been done before. Bernstein set 4 french recipies to music. "Rabbit at top speed", "Oxtail stew." the 1950s composers were playing with setting mundane topics to music. Stupid, but interesting. Why not? Pepsodent might actually pay you for that jingle.

What rhymes with Tesco? suddenly it's a valid question. Mac's got another mouth to feed....
I long for the pork of Porcupine. (A slide show dedicated mostly to Will right here.... http://www.examiner.com/rock-music-in-l ... -here-tour)
