You don't say. Actually, regardless of q's it's more that the bands want you a) to be a normal human being, someone who's not going to boss anyone around/show off, or go to jelly
b)They want you to know your stuff.

That Zombie fella's being a vain workshy nobber, had that a couple of times with people who (when interviewed), weren't worth MY effort...

Simple.

Will and Les are sound as for interviewing, so I've found. Top fellas both. But know your stuff

Well, you never know when it will take off. Joy Division managed well by changing to New Order after Ian Curtis's suicide.

What are you suggesting (are you Bill Drummond?)? Don't do it Mac! Don't do it!

though having thought about it, thats only true on the surface. theres clearly still the spirit of JD in early NO which is probably why i carried on listening to what they were doing instead of my usual, what dancy crap, no thank you sir. Mind you by the time of technique i was wavering a bit.

There is a clear sense that New Order was related, mainly by BASSLINE. I don't know the names of people really in New Order, or Joy Division, but the basslines were tight in both and I know it was the same ultratalented guy. I can't remember exactly how it happened, but I know I heard Joy Division through the videos shows we had, just like I saw every Bunnymen video. Joy Division may have been heading in that direction even with Ian Curtis. Remember Gang of Four did danceable tracks too, etc, etc.
