I can't quite picture todays Mac singing Thorn of Crowns somehow.

But besides all that does anyone know how much the tickets are and are they going to do other stuff or JUST Ocean Rain? I'm bolloxed if I'm going all the way down to London Village just for a 40 minute set!

Am kinda assuming/ hoping it will be similar to the Brian Wilson "Pet Sounds Tour". He would come on stage and play a short greatest hits set. Then would come back on stage after an interval and play "Pet Sounds" in order.......... Then finish with a couple of furtther classic encores.......

Just lets hope the Bunnymen do much the same ......

With a full orchestra behind you - Jesus if i was Mac and Will I would do every F**king song I could

Imagine Empire State Halo with a full orchestra -- spine tingling ...

some bands have opportunities to step up to the mike and show how it should be done ...

I think this is the time and the bunnies will (and can) do it....

I cannot envision any messing about because orchestras tend not to tolerate any bullshit or time wasting ..

the ultimate perfect gig would be to do HUH entirely, then break, then do Ocean Rain!

i know that's a stretch, but i think i'd want the show to end with Ocean rain.....and be done.....no encores!! Ocean Rain is the perfect ending!

I SO want this to be good. Nay, great. Awe inspiring.

If Mac is ever going to raise his game its at the Royal Albert Hall with a full orchestra. If he cant...well, they really are sunk.

But, a part of me believes...this could be magnificant.

(but a part of me also believes it could be an abject disaster!)

Still gonna go though!
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

It's Ian's game to win or lose.

I think we're all in agreement that Will, and whomever else is backing (including the orchestra) will be up to the challenge.

I just don't know if Ian McCulloch has the sense of discipline to pull this off.

I really hope he ups his game

September 2008 is very, very, very far away & a lot of changes in many different lives & aspects could happen before then...

Hey though, everyone that gets to go, I truly hope you all have a blast!

the fact that it's not on the RAH site, and wasn't announced yet (at time of your posting) on the official site, seems obvious that it wasn't meant to be announced YET *anywhere* .......it isn't that the official site was last to announce it.......it just got "leaked" again before it was supposed to be. you should be blaming the asshole ticket sellers that keep putting stuff online BEFORE they;re supposed to. that's why the official site *appears* to be the last ones to tell us.......coz the others aren't doing their job! i mean, if the seetickets things is gone, i think it's quite obvious they blew it, again!

I don't know how your jobs all are but, where I work, we have to have our vacations lined up (not critically in stone but, made noted on a special calendar) for next year by next month!!! If that isn't anal, I don't know what is. I haven't even planned out anything yet & I have 1 week to do so. lol

Yet, being single & no kids does have one advantage to things like this.

Anyway, I'd LOVE to go to this gig & I got someone to book me off the time (tentatively) yet, if I'm all honest, I hope they do another Xmas gig in 2008 then, I can spend more time in the city & save up even more $ to bring home more things. Who agrees?

Luckily, the Travelodge books 1 year in advance...

Has anyone booked anything for this gig yet? hahaha.

Yeah - I thought that yesterday aswell - especially for everyone who isn't based on London. Was up for it when I first heard the news but don't know if I can really be bothered now....time off work, babysitters etc etc - might be too much hassle.

May get the tickets anyway and then decide later on whether to go or not !
