welcome friend.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

also mentioned on the nme site:

http://www.nme.com/news/echo-and-the-bunnymen/47131

they get the name of the new album wrong and is there any truth in this:
The band's new album, 'Fountains', is set for release on October 12, and will feature Brockman's music.

feature Brockman's music? I doubt it but now I wonder if he had been with the reformed Bunnymen would it have made any difference in sound? Or was he pretty much told what to play? Did he ever have a vote in the band when Mac was still a member?

Here's another article. Peter Allen has certainly moved up through the ranks.

The poor fella's just died, does anyone else on this forum today really care whether or not he had a vote when Mac was still with them?

I care about it as much as any general E&tB topic, I guess.

The only reason we are discussing Jake at all, or even know about him, is because of his association with Echo & the Bunnymen. I think the extent of his influence on the band is quite okay to discuss at the time of his death.

In a year's time, the last time you talk about him ever again will have come and gone, so let's at least talk about Jake Brockman now, even if it's only about such mundane topics. Barring any real relationship with the man, or even significant memories of any kind, it is the best we have.

Apparently people are already competing to show they are the ultimate grieving Jake Brockman fan.
