I've watched that thing twice. Pretty dull alright. I watch my Galaxie 500 DVD more often and that's like watching grass grow.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

They should have got Hamish Hamilton in to direct it.

A friend gave me the DVD for xmas a few years ago. Having not seen it, I was delighted.
Later in the evening somebody suggested watching it. I was morto, sitting in a
room full of not quite Bunnymen fans as a weird silence descended.
Every word is like an unnecessary stain on silence and nothingness.

LIPA looked like it was shot and edited by people who had no clue what they were doing. I remember a lot of stagnant camera angles and very long or wide shots - worse than a film student's attempt at their first student film.

I remember reading that overdubs were done for the track Ocean Rain (due to "technical difficulties") but not the entire performance, but I wouldn't be surprised to find out that all the songs were overdubbed.

The Live at Shepherd's Bush dvd was so much better. Interestingly, that's the one the band disowned. Hmmmmm.....

We should invent a secret handshake.

For once I agree.

I also agree DVD doesnt do it justice...
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.
