Holy crap, it IS House. Or should I say, critically acclaimed British Actor HUGH LAURIE.

I think you're right. The poster is very perceptive and Hugh Laurie is also very perceptive.

Something about this case troubles me. I think we're being led to believe it is critically acclaimed British actor Hugh Laurie.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Poppycock, dear fellow. All the facts fit perfectly. Laurie is our man all right; make no mistake about it.

You listen to me, and listen to me good. We can't afford to have some loose cannon running around when the mayor is up for re-election. You hear me? THE CASE IS CLOSED!

Q: What is the legitimate Hugh Laurie / Bunnymen association?

I think the running theory is Hugh Laurie came to the VT site under the guise of haveaguess to bash King of Kings.

Hugh Laurie and the band are known residents of the U.K.

This place gets more walk-on surprise guests than the Merv Griffin show.

It's been a peculiar day here at VT. I need some smack.

Nope. I googled and behold, from Turquoise Days, page 119:

"At the end of each set, another comic, Hugh Laurie, was ushered onstage to recite the lyrics to 'Villiers Terrace' in a faux dramatic style worthy of Sir John Gielgud at the tail end of the song."

I'm sure you had to be there to appreciate the apparent hiliarity of it all.
