It's a travesty.

I like my 1st Mezz row B center seats myself. I think it's directly above the sound board too.

Thanks for the traveling tips everyone they are very much appreciated. I sure hope I can actually make this show.

Did I get the best seats? So which album are they doing at this show? The first (Porcupine) or the second one (Gray)?

as far as hotels go:

if anyone needs a place to stay, or wants to share a room with us for the night of the gig, we're still looking for one more person to share the pent house. (maybe 2, depends on moonies. are you in?)

this is the place: http://www.thegracieinn.com/

blinkie, shaz and i have all stayed here before and it's nice. it's a little bit north of midtown, but not hard to get to. you have to pay a 1 night deposit up front, so if you're only staying 1 night you have to pre-pay when you register for your room. (but i think you can get it back if you cancel within a week.)

they bring a continental breakfast right to your door at the time you request, so that's cool. (remember to tell them when you check in!)

the price per person (if you wanna share our room) is $79.36 if we have 5 people, or $66.13 if we have 6. get ahold of me or Rusty or Blinkie if you're interested in sharing. or go to the website if you wanna book your own. all the rooms have kitchenettes. we're getting the large pent house, and i think the small one is still available. (that one sleeps 2 - 4!)

just get in touch with me, blinkie, or rusty if you are interested in sharing with us.

29th row, center stage. a few rows in front of us, and over a tad! (we're in the 500s, row H)

I know ... in hindsight, that was stupid ... tho on the little photo thingie, it looked like a neck crane up to the stage from there

still, wherever I am (floor, row C, seat 413, I think), it looks pretty good from there.

yeah, i hate being right at the very very front in seated venues.
i went to a high school musical one time and the person that got our seats thought it'd be great sitting in the front row. WRONG!!!!!!!!! i couldn't even see half the props!

just lots of feet and knees unless you crane up

Standing venues not all good either tho -- I went to one smaller venue in L.A. where the stage was pretty tall. Wound up looking up the lead singer's nose the whole evening

Red, your seats are fine. And you'll have so much sitting w/ the group you're with! My seats are in ORCH2, Row J - off to the right. I just looked up tickets again right now and better seats in my same row came up! What a load of crap! Oh well, I think Moonies is right, pretty much any seat in the house will be a good one (I hope). I'm so excited to go to NYC. I haven't been there since 1987!
So you enjoyed your time in my old stomping grounds? I lived in Chicago for almost 11 years! Couldn't take the miserable winters anymore and street parking was a bitch!
