Ghostie--

I may take the veil if you keep talking about Wendi. Please stop.

Any of you Pledgers paid up yet? Just checked my account and the deed has now been done for both albums. May have another dabble later on. Quite fancy the signed artwork from the Sarge but wouldn't mind a preview before doing so.

i went the paypal route so it was all paid for at the time of purchase. i also bought the album artwork print. i kind of like the element of surprise by not knowing what it looks like beforehand. also got the postcards too.

Yes, my pledge has been taken. The sooner we get the album, the happier I'll be.

i liked that cover and i like it even more now because the 'intro to syd barrett' CD cover kind of reminds me of curvature in little traces (curvature came first).

he's come a long way with the art since then and i would think he'd make something that correlates with the title 'things inside.' the title makes you wonder and the music is a bit intense so that's also what i was going on in terms of the signed print. plus...it's a print for an album which is kind of neat. i can also see how it may be hard to decide without seeing first.

p.s. i can't believe that many people bought ian's album artwork print at double the cost of will's. 'they' are the risk takers of tomorrow!! (i wouldn't even do that).

will's is really quite reasonable as his normal art goes for way more.

I take it we get the MP3 download version first as that is included as part of the minimum £8 pledge. Never used this site before, so.

Seems odd as we all know that it will be Will's own work and will be to his own usual high standard. I haven't bought any art work at the moment, but his last postcard set was of good value. Don't why anybody would want Mac's to be honest. I'm still confused why anybody would spend £1,000 on a microphone either.

You mean take some stock photography and run it through a filter on Photoshop? Maybe my 9 year old can assist with that.

To be fair here, it's not just the Bunnymen these days. I imagine the budget just isn't there either. It seems like the days are long gone where an artist or a really good photographer is hired who will produce a nice shot.

It all adds to the expense. And i expect photographers and artists all expect to get paid. Selfish bastards.

Like many bands these days, other than touring income, merchandise and some publishing rights money I don't think the Bunnymen are generating a lot of income via album sales like the old days.

My sentiments exactly. Ghostie, and that is the reason why I retracted my bid on Ian's stuff and just put the cash toward Will's. In addition, I'd rather give someone on here the $15-20 to burn me a copy of Ian's CD just on principle. Not only is Ian/mgmt fleecing the fans with the cost but they've also jacked up his prices (surely mgmt is getting a cut of that) and they've even taken Will's idea of the postcards. Not saying anyone else can't have use idea, just saying it's a bit odd. Note *This is not a Mac bashing post, just saying it from someone who spends their money on reasonable things just like most others.

well thats standard business practice isn't it? If the macster has to pay the ciggie roadie then its got to come from somewhere.

I htnk you just accept the price or not. My bro always says 'its no use complaining about the price of beer, you either pay it or go somewhere else, or dont have any'.

I wouldn't pay either of em 3 quid to scribble their name on a pristeen bit of artwork (which I really would like to see before i buy - though I wont unless its like you know, really good)
