I just remember the story that Lee and two other members asked for more money, had new contracts created, were immediately fired using the wording of the new contracts and then they formed Lupine Howl. It seems everyone who has worked with J Spaceman comes away pretty bitter. But that seems to always be the case when there is a leader in the band with a distinct vision. They come across as overly demanding and arrogant.
