yeah me too. but not the jethro thing. he's a fairly awful old school comedian fromthe west country in these parts s it wouldn't work. Obviously sme around here would have said 'echp' got lazy after the first three albums, and been a bit uder about it.

As a huge Bunnymen fan I'd always put them top, but I do like The Cure, nothing after 1992 mind you and their live performances are a bit flat these days. New Order I also like and some of their more recent stuff such as. Kraft and Crystal is pretty good.

The Bunnymen get my vote because going to see them is genuinely like having an outer body experience. Plus I never get bored of their music, whilst with the others I do.

Bunnymen win for everything they did before 1986.

I used to love New Order but get bored listening to them now.

The Cure were the first band I saw live. They made some great stuff in their day, but I rarely listen to them now.

I used to hate Depeche Mode but I think they're boss now.

Bunnymen - heaven up here
New Order - technique
The Cure- Pornography
Depeche Mode- Violator

I like Martin Hannett produced New Order but that's it. The Cure and DM meant everything to me from about 6th grade through my senior year of high school but The Bunnymen still win out due to those first four albums. I'll put those up against any band's four best.

As far as referring to the band as "Echo" vs. "The Bunnymen", I do remember people saying "Echo" in the 80s. It seems like "The Bunnymen" came along later. Then again my perspective is from the US and not the UK so maybe that's another thing altogether.

It seems to be mainly Americans who refer to the band as "Echo" while everyone else correctly calls them "The Bunnymen".

I never thought about this but the promo poster for the Grey Album had that logo where "Echo" was larger than the rest of the name. This was the largest US tour. So maybe that's where it comes from.

Don't forget Lite beer. We love that stuff. Not me though because I am one of these white liberal apologists who hate America and love good beer.
