Upcoming Liverpool gig.

Postby JackT » Mon Mar 02, 2009 8:27 pm

Hi am going to fly to Liverpool to see that gig that the official site just emailed us about.

I will be traveling with my long-time platonic friend, with whom I have never had sex except for that one time.

Does anyone know any good places to stay? Is there going to be a meet-up? Sorry, but I can't go to it, on account of I will be super-busy with the friend I mentioned above in the second sentence.

Can't you stay with your online UK fiance?

Turns out she's not from the UK - she's from Jersey, she doesn't put out and she's not a looker. Sooooo disappointing.

I didn't get that mail from the official site and on the news section is doesn't say when the gig is.
If they don't want me to go, they should just tell me straight. I know people judge me without even knowing me but I would never do that to those bastards b/c I'm a good Christian.
Every word is like an unnecessary stain on silence and nothingness.

Well without sounding a misery.........when are the band actually going to play a non festival gig outside of Liverpool?(I'll ignore the one-off RAH)They have a huge support in the West Midlands/Birmingham area and havnt played here since Nov 2005.People have racked up £'s and £'s seemingly going to Liverpool non-stop for the last god knows how many years.I know its a matter of choice but if you follow the band like me its a necessity. We need a proper tour. They should take a leaf from from the Buzzcocks book.

what? book the sex pistols just so you can support and then inspire all twelve people in the audience to become pop stars, or at least start a label. Produce the first self release ep only to have your lead singer leave and, defy the 'oo the singers gone now we might as well pack up' mentality go on to produce any number of catchy pop punk singles.

I missed Half Man Half Biscuit there before Xmas but they are playing Wolverhampton this Thursday.I'd also planned to see The Buzzcocks there on the Friday but my mate let me down so again I saw them play at Wolvo the night before.
Seriously I'm getting pretty pissed off going to bleedin Liverpool all the time. Its just laziness again. And thats the 'big announcement' is it?

Why do threads always have to degenerate into discussion about the band?

I, an uber-banned member non-member of the official forum, did get an invite. But I am afraid to go. I am not sure anyone would really want to talk to me anyway. Do you think I should go? Do you think I would find love? If you were to go, would go and enjoy yourself or would you go just to be there?

I might go just to criticise the set-list, moan about Mac not giving two shiny shites any more and how great things were in 1984.

I'm serious btw.

1984??? Real, hard-core fans know that the band sold out after Side A of Crocodiles.
