how long before The Fountain is leaked?

It seems like if this is not released soon then it will just get leaked all over for free....

ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN

THEY won rave reviews performing classic 1984 album Ocean Rain in New York and at the The Royal Albert Hall. Singer Ian McCulloch slipped me the first copy of unreleased CD The Fountain and it's already on my top records of 2009 list.

Who's to say it's even the version that will be released. Based on earlier indicators - the separation with Warner, etc - it seems the album as produced and mixed wasn't quite ready for prime time.

Maybe this will be the Bunnymen's "Chinese Democracy"

Maybe PG Tips can offer everyone a free tea if it's released before the end of 2009.

Perhaps they should get a focus group of fans from the Villiers Terrace site to tell them if they have hit the mark, or are about to embarrass themselves and need to go back to the drawing board. They cannot afford another WAYGTDWYL episode.

I don't see why not. You're in the neighborhood right Dr. Cheese?

I just hope they don't deliver an overcooked fish which has been produced to a slow death.

But then I think "All Because of You Days" is a fantastic song so what do I know?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

They probably always bump into each other getting a Strawberry Fields Shake at the Smoothie Sun King in the Penny Lane Mall all the time.

I hope the delay includes them tampering with "Think I Need A Poo". Drop it as the first single and change the chorus lyrics to resemble something more Bunnymenish. Call it "Think I'll Watch Mr Magoo" or something obscure.

They can't afford to so don't worry. Let Will produce it. He practically produced Crocodiles and his Curvature cd isgood stuff.

it'd be brilliant if Will produced it. though i have a feeling that won't happen. maybe we could persuade him to do another glide CD while we wait for the fountain to see the light of day... Will? are you out there?

How about Will makes a Glide cd and puts space for Ian to sing on the songs?

There are no instrumentals, just tracks for which Mac's vocals have yet to be recorded.

Will certainly did NOT practically produce Crocodiles, that was virtually a 100% Balfe/Drummond Production. If you read Cope's Book "Head On" it tells you that Will thought they had destroyed the Songs, but Cope go's on to tell you that the when the Teardrops heard a playback at the Studio they were Gob Smacked at how good it sounded...........

I meant wrote Crocodiles. And actually it was Hugh Jones who really produced Crocodiles.

KM: Ive enjoyed every Echo & the Bunnymen record Ive ever heard, but I have to say that your new album, Siberia, sounds like a serious return to form to my ear. Did it feel that way while you were making it and does it feel that way to you now?

WS: Not really. To me, it was just another load of tunes. I never really thought about it like that. Everyones said it so much now that Im starting to believe it me self. I suppose it was getting Hugh Jones back to produce it. He did Heaven Up Here. He really produced Crocodiles as well, the truth be known. It was down as The Chameleons, which was Dave Balfe and Bill Drummond but they didnt really do that much. It was Hugh that was in charge cause nobody really knew what they were doing in them days.
