Anyone seen it yet? "Tales of everyday madness and haunting sadness".
Hope it's not another Mojo job...

I have nothing to say that will cheer you up - though it is a bit of a different angle to that one - more of a light the blue touch paper and fuck right off. But also, in lots of ways, nothing new - which is just as bad really isn't it. I may regret saying this, but I'm sure the guitar player could get a job in another band if he wanted to.

The album gets a four star review though if that's likely to warm your bones. Draws a parallel to the holy ghosts set, zimbo is a haunting twang, km, sublime sparse piano and 'gracefully swerve more routine violin sawing 'reimaginings', while mcculloch's weathered croon brings deeper sadness to his youthful romances' Somnambulist rocks hard proving there's plenty of creative life left in the group'.

Might be a bit fan boyish to note its a back of stamp knocked out in the pub at lunchtime review, and not a double pager waxing lyrical about the aging process. Not only that - the similarly sized review in the next column is for an album called 'Bunny' and has a track on it called 'Echo'. Might give that a listen.

Any credibility that review might have had went sailing straight out the window right there. Rocks Hard? Fucking hell!

I suppose it's all subjective, things tend to get less hard with time.

Do you think he has a list and just rotates the same old quotes hoping as we’re all getting older too that we won’t notice?

There are pictures of him at Chung Ku with his family on the owners FB page...I'm waiting on my Q mag to make it's way here from England...I hate that he still hates Les....And it's no doubt mutual...Though I'd give anything to see the three of them in concert again...It'll never happen.

The Les thing - he says the whole band betrayed him, et tu Will or something he says, but Les appears in a dream. I have more forgiving ex-wives after 30 years. Takes all sorts I spose.
