Bunnymen Back In Detroit

Postby Joe-eatb » Wed May 13, 2015 5:21 pm

The Bunnymen are coming back to Detroit September 13th, almost exactly a year ago they were here. I went last year to see them, they are playing St. Andrew's again in downtown Detroit. Detroit was the first show to sell out in North America last time around, they must have been happy so they are coming back and this Canadian (I live in Windsor across the river from Detroit) will be there again woow . . . woow.

You sound excited. Is Dr Cheese going?

I hate when they dribble out a few show dates at a time. Makes it hard to decide when and where to go.

Usually they play Chicago but no dates on this tour as of yet. I'm kind of surprised they are coming to Cleveland and Columbus OH. The last time for Columbus was in 2001 with the Psychedelic Furs on the Flowers tour. That was a great show. I got to meet the band for the first time there (way before I pissed them off with this forum).
I may go to the Columbus show since that's only a couple hours from home. I haven't seen them since 2008 but I'll wait until I see some reviews for the tour first.

It's an investment of my time and money so if the reviews are generally positive I'll probably go but if Mac is being a clown and his voice is trashed I'll skip it.

I saw them at St. Andrews last year. GREAT show!!

Now my problem is that I am going to Detoilet for my class reunion in JULY. I cannot possibly make two trips there.

Will probably digs it here since we blame Mac for everything.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I have seen some more East Coast dates added on pollstar, hoping for a Boston or Providence, RI show.

Mac's voice has been trashed for years. Treat it as a karaoke evening!

But that's just not true, it's been back on form for several years, you should get out and have a listen.

I agree there was a period when it was pretty trashed but he has improved. I'll still be watching those reviews. I see it as a positive thing that Mac will only be two shows into that part of the tour when they get to Columbus OH.

What other cities are they thinking of? New York HAS to be somewhere on that list. Considering other commitments, I will probably only wish I was seeing them elsewhere on their US tour. This was supposed to be a slow concert season for me and yet it is turning out to be one of the busiest and more costliest of years!
