having read the slagging mac got for fridays gig i was not expecting too much, a very small venue and lots of talking on friday made mac pretty pissed off.

watching the support act "marazine blue", a film on a giant screen showing an old 70's film "Psychomania" was left on during their set, very odd!

but mac and broudie were in top form all with the usual suspects played, villiers was superb and great cover of sorrow as well, amazed by the amount of people who were not even watching just chatting inanely around the bar.
ian broudie was fantastic on guitar he really does get into the gig!

mac does seem to have turned a corner in his life, no alcohol on stage just a marks and sparks milk shake  nice to see a few proper bunny fans in there as well.

I was there Friday and Sat night. Friday night was terrible (the punters not the two Ians. I can't call them an audience because they were only there for the beer and to
chat to their mates. How the poor support act soldiered on I do not know!!)
On Friday it was more like a Rugby club than a music venue. Naturally it pissed Mac
off but he carried on anyway. Broudie had a go at trying to shut them up too and
also seemed irritated.

However, when we arrived on Sat night the whole atmosphere was completely different.
It was an earlier set and although full not completely sold out.
The two Ians were superb and because most people were paying attention we got
Rust.

Sorrow was fantastic and Saturday night was excellent (performance, atmosphere and chat).

BG1 where did you read the comments slagging Ian off ?

I don't understand these pricks who pay £10-£15 to go to a gig just to talk shit through the set? Why not go down the pub and spend it on ale?
