Vocals are a bit rough.

Ever hear Greg Laswell's cover of the song?

Pretty good for a CA native.

There were an awful lot of vaginas in that video.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Did the singer intentionally try to mimic the current state of Ian's voice?

It is one of the better covers probably because it isn't very original. Nice blast in the middle.

Why cover Killing Moon unless you are going to just do more of what is already there.
Or less.

It is one of those songs that is tough to improve on with an original take.

a while ago nme or q or mojo did a cd of 'cure' covers which included a speech by fat bob himself (and he speaks highly of you smiff) on 'the cover version' saying how some that were just copies were great (and whi not if thats what you want to do) while some took just a single idea as a starting point and weren't a cover at all but were also greart and some were inj between and they were great too. All in all he didn't say much i didn't agree with. As it happens alot of the covers on the cd weren't great at all, but thats the case with most cover versions. B ut even if you do it straight you ought to be able to put your stamp on it. Is that what youre saying hip? Is it? Hmmm? I that case I agree.

Speaking of Smith and covers, I can't miss a chance to post a video now can I?

Any bunnymen cover sounds like shit because most singers can't get even close to Mac's voice.
Anyway, the nouvelle vague cover is kind of interesting:
