just read this. at first i thought it was a bit of an odd interview - but just the same old bollocks. He doesn't actually mention his new album (though that might be editorial control I suppose and we could all guess what it would be like). Has a pop at everybody - will, les, barney sumner (for talking to the audience), chris martin - not sure what he wants from him really, the bloke from keane (for rehearsing before going on stage at V or somewhere) and U2 (natch). Though to be fair these topics are all presented to him so hardly A* journalism either. Wonder what he'd be lioke if he started thinking he was just a normal bloke who got lucky a couple of times? Perhaps he does.

can't wait to read this article! a friend is sending me his copy. his overview was: "Ian McCulloch interview in Mojo = delusional d-bag! Leonard Cohen piece is great though."
Has anyone got a link to the mojo interview or a scan of the mojo interview? I was out of the country at the time and can't find it anywhere having tried google

I remember it.
* Ian claims Morrissey ordered a fish, and he himself ordered a duck. Fascinating info. Also, if Ian eats a duck, isn't it sort of cannibalism?
* That old 'chasm' story.
Mind you, Ian said fond things of Morrissey during the interview, and also claimed in 2000-ish that he was nice and he and Lorraine dropped him at his mother's house. He also slagged him off countless times, partly on account of that one meeting. I'd guess Ian tells people what they want to hear, but which part does he think we want to hear and which part is the real him, Mac the Mouth/rambling drunk, or Mac the nice?
Sorry, I just came home and felt the need to go off about SOMETHING. Is the new Mac album out yet, then?

I just spent two hrs. with my daughter's kindergarten class. Let's just say that I could pick out the ones who'll be in prison when they're 18! I'm not a drinker, but this one kid in particular made me want to start.
