Bunnymen at Wickerman

Just back from the Wickerman Festival- Bunnymen were excellent- best set of the weekend, not that i'm biased, of course!

Started with 'Do It Clean' which was a masterstroke- pretty much a greatest hits- Mac spent a lot of time moaning his head off at the sound tech- no wonder, right enough, he kept sticking a big slab of reverb on-bearded twat! Think they had a healthy crowd too altho I was 3 from the front and bouncing around so didn't look back. Will's guitar was a bit off on 'Zimbo' but overall sounded great. Mac's vocals were pretty damn good--not much banter apart from a crack about the footy season starting on Sunday so was everyone going home after this? Finished with a powerful 'The Cutter' which he seemed well into..all good

After that, the rain belted down and poor James-the headliners- had to suffer that, a broken sound system and following the Bunnymen- not their night!
