25 years or so since I last saw the Bunnymen. I think I got over excited and started shout requests. Gutted they didn't do Do it clean! Or The Puppet but to hear those first two Albums again was special for a lapsed fan like myself. On Macs voice, I was expecting to be really disappointed but dispute the chain smoking her gave the early stuff the energy it always had, if not the youthful tones. Not surprised it didn't come across well on tv. Most 80's bands just do the hits (as OMD did unashamedly the following day - same slot). Very few of the audience even recognised The Promise but seemed transfixed, until the last three hits (not including my fav - Back of Love). Will looked lost in his world of sound as usual - bloody brilliant that man. I had to do a lot of translating for the Suffolk audience who missed most of Macs quips! I half expected the Barundi drummers to make a guest appearance. I loved it.
