Echo & the Bunnymen Bootlegs Guide,Traders

Postby AustinP » Sat Nov 10, 2007 9:09 am

Hello All,
I'm new to the board but not to the Bunnymen. I would like to know if there are any live shows traders out there? Also, is there a bootleg guide that recommends what shows you have must-have?

Thank you for your time and i'm looking forward to your replies.

Sincerely,
AustinP

This is all you really need...

and this, which is a nice reference guide to a lot of the shows, not a bootleg guide but there are some interesting notes and set lists here:

[center]I have this LP too and am still trying to find a date for it. Checking both lists at
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/stevedoughty/1981.html &
http://www.angelfire.com/wy2/setlists/page2.html
I can't find an exact match to the track listing. Although there were 2 Italian dates listed on both lists in 1981:
Jun 24 - Milan Odissea and Jun 29 - Firenze Loggiatta Delgi Uffinzi, the closest, track listing-wise I could find, was June 18th - Lyon (France).

There seems to be at least 2 versions of the LP. Mine is the one Frank mentions but there's a typo on my sleeve: Placedo rather than Placebo.
It has a yellow back cover and on the back it says
LIMITED EDITION 400 COPY
PLACEDO RECORDS MONGERDRIVE ROAD 11/B LONDON
ME050
On http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=1426301 it gives same front cover
(but only A4 of it is scanned) and back cover is yellow like mine but has
"LIMITED EDITION 300 COPIES" and
"WIND RECORDS Kentish Town..."
I take this one to be an English copy of the first one, as they've put in the correct plural of 'copy', so there's probably at least 700 copies out there. Recording levels on my mine are quite low and not brilliant sound but listenable.
