The Crucial Three....

Interesting to see where we are with them...

Cope-last seen struggling to complete a song at a festival last year and went off stage after twenty minutes. Now thinks he's Roky Erikson.

Mac-increasingly erratic behaviour involving brandy, falling over on stage, fights with the crowd and wielding acoustic guitars at people who have just bought him a drink in seaside theatre resorts. Now thinks he's Stan Boardman.

Wylie-last seen looking like an oven-ready turkey in a bacofoil jacket at Liverpool Arena.now thinks he's Bernard Matthews

Les,Will,Simpson,McNabb etc.. must wonder whats up with them all...

hmmm. Copes cancelled a couple of shows too - rumour rumour. Might just be that he cant get a solar powered van charged up in time, but apparently got a new publishing deal with F & F I think for some book about god or something, not to mention wliting about loads of really crap records we ought to buy. So, busy bloke as always. PLus Dorian's disappeared off the internet. Not that thats a great loss to society, perhaps thats a publishing deal too. Wiley toured last year didn't he? Was going to go but couldn't be arsed. As I believe neither can he much. Still got the voice though from what I hear. Mac. Still talking bollocks.

Sure youre not turning into KOK Dave? He's gomne all touchy feely and youre doing the whatever happened thread. Still, there's not much else to talk about is there.

Cope writing a book about God? why bother when we'll get his autobiography in June 2011?

No Ive not gone all KOK!lol. And will still be at the next Mac gig etc.. etc.. he's still the greatest frontman/singer ever in my book ...I just think he's showing a bit of lack of respect to his fans at present and thats the first time Ive ever thought that really.

Will is going all Andy Warhol. Wouldn't be surprised if he opens up his own space, calls it the Ministry in honor of the old Ministry where they used to rehearse. Then he'll have a house band called Weird As Fish kind of like the Velvet Underground.

Meanwhile Les makes boats and still dreams Geoff Lovestone of the Geoffs, and Love Pastels.

I hate to correct you Diva but I'm sure it was Jeff not Geoff.

I promise it's Geoff. :hug_emoticon: Only cause Les is my favorite and I paid attention.

Tony Fletcher in 'Never Stop' spells it with a J, though this website

http://link2wales.co.uk/liverpool-a/liverpool-g/

uses a G. and Wills much more Rothko than warhol.

Chez.

ps if Lancs Fusileer bloke is about - is that you who does the incendiary thing, had a look there and part one of the interview with les seems to have disappeared. Could be just my connection I suppose)

Just consulted the bible that is "Liverpool Eric's: All the best clubs are downstairs, everybody knows that" and there is an interview in there with the great Mr Pattinson. There's a reference to a fella called Geoff Love ("who did stuff on TV with Max Bygraves"), but all references to Jeff Lovestone or The Jeffs is spelt with a J. (though I wish I'd never mentioned it now).

Well I never said I don't have issues.

I thought it was spelt with a G in incendiary. And then in Liverpool Explodes. (Not that I'm going to drag out my mildewed copy with 10 pages missing)

Perhaps G vs. J would be a question of the tastes of the writer.

Or perhaps one more question for the "Catching up with Les" interview.
