Hmm, I saw that. I wouldn't mind seeing that because it does actually sound more of an interesting collaboration given the type of music that Ronson does -- even if he is currently the "in" musician/producer to work with. I hope it develops into something else. Maybe Ronson covers of some Bunnymen tunes. At least that's more interesting news than the chat with old Les "Well I don't really know Rita" Dennis.
according to this report ronno is singing on his next album after having lessons from lada gag's voice coach. now I know she's got a tidy little arse but i'm not sure being her singin coach is musch a recommendation.
He was on BBC 6 music saying the same thing. He's now got the confidence to sing himself.See'when Mark Ronson's career takes a dive' headline in six months time.He comes over a bit of a tit but he did some sterling work on Mistress Smackhead's album.

[s]Where does it say this? I looked on bunnymen.com, but the only thing I found there was an epileptic attack from the strobe lights.
This is the dj fellow that interviewed Ian back in December in NYC. He seemed okay.[/s]
Nevermind, I found it.

well, not that i want to start a trend but I'd like to stake a claim to resurrecting the oldest thread i could find, just for the sake of saying something foolish on the internet. its a while ago I believe.
You were a different person back then. We all were.

I was going to suggest that Mac and/or Will should work with Mark Ronson, so this move is a brilliant idea. When I saw Mark and his (great) band on Later with Jools Holland the Bunnymen put on a good show but I thought Ronson had the absolute mastery of rhythm which has been missing from the Bunnymen since the loss of Pete and Les from the band.
IF Mac can be disciplined enough to keep his voice intact by cutting down on his vices for just a while (that's a big if) I predict that such a collaboration (preferably with input from Will) might just produce a marvel not seen from Mac for decades.
Ronson was able to butch up Morrissey's sound, I think he would be a great choice for producer.
