Actually, I have. I rather liked U2 at first. But then I grew up. LOL. Speaking of digs at U2, here's one from a really odd interview Ian did in 2001:

Q: Speaking of hair and stuff, what sort of hairstyles offend you? Are there any hairstyles that offend you?

A: Mullets. Definitely, mullets are the worst. And Bono did have a mullet, I mean God love him but he was a mullet-wearing dude.

Ian cracks me up! He's so real.

On Bono: "There's a lot of people who believe that Bono's saying something. He's so disgustingly creepy. Plus, he's out of his fucking mind as well."

U2 tickets go on sale this weekend in Denver for a show scheduled on June 12, 2010. 76,125 seats and they will sell out quickly. It blows my mind. Whatever Bono may be saying, the people are gobbling it up. Although Mac may not care for the "millions as U2's got", I suspect Will and the other band members would like a slice of that pie. You think Les would be building boats, or whatever he's doing, if the band played at sold out stadium performances? Mac's speaking with that stiff upper lip the English people have.

I'm sorry, but Ian can say some really stupid things about Bono/U2. Maybe he thinks the journalists find him fascinating, but they only goad him into saying stuff that makes him look petty and small and very jealous, while the journalists and magazine editors get their headlines.

I doubt he'll ever get how his envy of U2's success makes him just look stupid.

Mac the Mouth has not got anything remotely resembling a stiff upper lip.

But I think they would be uniquely poised with the current nostalgia movement if Mac's voice were in better shape.

He sounded amazing here:

Plaid shirt and CAPRIS! The ever-present hoodie is actually an improvement.
