I've been trying to figure out what Père Noel had to do with anything all afternoon. Now I have to try to find that movie. :-)

Hard for me to explain how i developped my review.
In the first part, i'm quoting 'mais c'est de la merde...non c'est Kloug' to paraphrase (does this word exist in english?) the part where i write that post punk/wave 80s bands keeping on making music with various fate. The quote means 'but this thing is (literally) horse/dogshit' as one of the movie character starts eating some special romanian Xmas cake made by a weirdo living on floor above to apologize for an incident he caused. Then he replies 'no it's not (dog)shit, it's Kloug, a traditional cake from our region...'
Of course, as i translate & try to explain it's no fun at all but this movie is a milestone in french cinema, everyone in france/belgium/french-speaking areas do know plenty of sentences from this movie by heart.
Soooooo this brings me to the link to the conclusion i'd written about 'Idolness of gods' sounding like an Xmas song or enhanced 'Baby hold on' version, then i describe a classic Xmas scene and the kid unfolds his presents & is being offered a turntable with starterkit including Pet Sounds, Revolver etc...and bloody Viva la Vida (as i quoted Coldplay in 'Forgotten fields', saying that they surely decided to stop making records when Ian played this song to them), bringing my conclusion that 'Santa Claus is definitely a bast**d', which is the name of the movie indeed.

Sorry for being that long and not too clear, i couldnt find proper words to explain accurately, especially it's 1AM over here and i'm dead tired tonight.
