OK, L.A. bunny fans ... I don't know if they've twittered this yet, but I just pulled up the Will Call column that's running in tomorrow's LAT and it has the bunnymen playing the Nokia Theatre on Oct. 24. Tix on sale saturday. There's additional info at ticketmaster about prices, etc.

Also, for Bay Area fans, ticketmaster has them playing the Fox Theater in Oakland on Oct. 22.

Do you think they will open with the new album in its entirety and then do OR?

So folks, you heard it here first from Zabird (at least I did). No mention on Bunnymen web-site or Twitter page!

It's official. This is from the Twitter page:

Fox Theater Oakland 10/22/09 Nokia Theatre Los Angeles 10/24/09 ticket on sale 07/25/09 via Bunnymen.com more details to follow.

There's only one ticket, so first come first served.

Wow! That's gonna be one empty theater then

Another thing ... I'm not grousing or anything, but why aren't they offering fans a shot at the Friday presale tickets?

The pre sale for Radio City was shite anyway. I bought better seats once they went on general sale.

Because the management are incompetent buffoons who wouldn't recognise a marketing opportunity if it ran up to them and kicked them in the balls?

the whole secretiveness of the upcoming tour is confounding -- i posted something about the california shows the other day and they were removed over night from the other site... and tickets go on sale tomorrow - why would they hide the dates from their fans ? and not give them a chance to get good seats....

Yeah, that's very weird! And why only post the news 3 days before the tickets go on sale to the public and after Ticketmaster already had the shows listed on their site?

That'd actually be a great promotional/marketing opportunity.

Albert Dock, Liverpool:
Giant statue/fountain of Ian McCulloch having a piss.
For $60 US, You get to stand in the piss stream and have your choice of Ian or Will kick you in the balls then hand you a signed copy of "The Fountain" and a t-shirt emblazoned with "I was kicked in the balls by Echo & the Bunnymen".

If you have an HFS ticket stub can you get it for a discount?
