Any post Sex Gods interviews from Pete?

Is he on record explaining that little chestnut?

Funny that Drummond found it inspiring.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Good question. Did Pete interview much at all? Chris Adams' book is probably the first place to look.

A search of the Balcony Dogs might help find interviews.

The more I find out about the band, the more I see a band that combined the right amount of rock cliche with a unique style that could have made the band not only buzz worthy for great music but could have set a new standard for rock myths.

Ian and Pete's partying lifestyle and Will and Les racing motor cars after shows and Will's obsession with sci-fi and Les being Les Really could have brought about an image to rival their albums.

I think there is a blurb from Pete in Turquoise Days about having to be a bit "mad" or something like that. Maybe Drummond's book is the place to look.

The Bunnymen are one band that seem even at their most popular to avoid talking rock and roll life at all.

There is a story in Fletcher's book that at the end of a set the ABC drummer touring with the band while Pete was out through his towel into the audience. After the encore, the band threw towels at him.

I think Will said Blair Cunningham threw his sticks into the audience.

I only know what I read in the Fletcher book 20 years ago.

Does that mean you're not coming back to me?
