With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I do enjoy waiting for a laxative to work too, so it all works out well I guess.

I remember at the time there were supposed to be more lo-fi mixes. That's probably the closest you'll ever get to a Mac/Glide collaboration.

It's still crap. No pun intended.

It's even worse than Pride. That one is the product of an up and coming band with little experience writing songs.

A Promise (Lo Fi Lullabye #1) is a poor attempt to cover the fact that Ian couldn't sing so well anymore.

But it's nice you like it.

I think both of the remixes were a great new take on both songs. Even if the vocals on A Promise Low-Fi melody sound as if Mac is being bog-washed at the time, the instrumental makes up for it. I wouldn't mind hearing it live, because I don't know if he still has the range for A Promise and even if he does, its been played to death- but the new version never gets boring. Same for the Rescue remix.

Bog-wash... is that like a "swirlie"?

Oh wait - Wikipedia answered that for me:

Swirlie
The act of holding the victim upside down with his or her head in the toilet bowl, and flushing. Typically perpetrated by two or more older, larger individuals. Instances of swirling have been prosecuted in courts. More commonly known as bogwashing in the U.K., or dunnyflushing in Australia. Variants of the swirlie include the brown swirlie (or chunky swirlie) and the yellow swirlie.
