What's weird is U2's next album is supposed to come out the same month as the Fountain (January). There goes U2 copying the Bunnymen again...

Maybe the Bunnymen can copy U2 this time and get one of those fancy labels.

I think they need to just get on a label. Period.

Whatever happened to that idea of releasing albums on their own label? Wasn't it going to be called Porcupine Records or something?

In this age of digital distribution they might want to think about it.

Regardless, if the album is still coming out in January they should be on a label right now or it's not coming out by then.

I think the release date/time has been revised to be spring 2009. I'm still championing digital downloads, but not only through i-tunes.

All the good will the created with the OR shows a free digital download would be a helluva way to keep those feelings fresh in a lot of people's minds. Or a free OR show download. This is the best press they gotten in a while. They should do something big.
